Join Preserve the 'Burg in partnership with the Gulfport Historical Society for one of our favorite summer evening strolls, albeit one in the "suburbs!" This tour of funky and artsy Gulfport looks at this small town on Boca Ceiga Bay and its collection of historic commercial and residential structures. The tour will be led by a Gulfport local, proud of their town and with a penchant for history and storytelling. The tour starts at Gulfport's historical museum (come a bit early for a look around inside) and ends at Pia's, one of the fun spots of Gulfport where you can grab a drink or a bite to eat and continue in a conversation. Pia's on Beach Blvd., is just a couple blocks away from the tour's starting point at the museum.
Tour is free for Preserve the 'Burg members (it's easy to become a member) and $10 for non-members and guests. Reservations are recommended as tours can fill. Children & dogs are free!
Please note: The tour will meet on the steps of Scout Hall, immediately next door to the Gulfport History Museum - 5315 28th Avenue South Gulfport, Florida 33707.
