This beautiful & historic Tampa Bay waterfront neighborhood, first platted in the '20's, has both 1920's Med Rev & mid century ranch styled homes dating to the late 1940's & '50's. On the neighborhood’s north end was the luxurious waterfront Bahama Shores Hotel & Yacht Club while to the south, where Bay Vista Park stands today, was the Bee Line Ferry terminal, the way south before the the 1954 opening of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
The tour will be led by neighborhood resident, historian, author of The Making of St. Petersburg and former PTB President Will Michaels. The tour will include a stop in both a 1920's and a mid-century ranch styled home. The tour starts in the neighborhood park, Bahama Shores Park. It is located where 58th Avenue South intersects Bahama Shores Drive.
