2016-17 Lecture Series - What Makes St. Pete Special?

As the boom continues with demolition becoming more common place both downtown and in the neighborhoods it is time to understand what makes St. Pete Special! It is  special places that collectively provide a community with its sense of place - a feel and buzz that makes people feel good about where they live or visit. But sense of place can easily be lost and when lost, it is typically realized after the fact, when one looks around and asks, what happened?

SPP's 2016 - 17 lecture series will delve into what makes the 'Burg the Special and what can be done to avoid the need to ask the question, what happened. The kick-off program offered former Mayor Rick Baker addressing the big picture on what makes St. Pete special. The series will continue thru 2016 and into the winter of 2017 with additional programs, ultimately exploring what you can do to keep St. Pete special.

Be sure to come for the reception preceding each program with complimentary light fare and a cash bar.
