Donate to Preserve the 'Burg

Preserve the 'Burg (Saint Petersburg Preservation Inc.) is funded exclusively through donations, memberships, sponsorships, and program fees. Your one-time or recurring donation will help us Preserve the 'Burg!

In 2017 alone, Preserve the 'Burg acomplished:

  • Historic Landmark Designations:  3 New Local Historic Districts - 18th Ave NE, 10th Ave NE and Historic Kenwood Seminole Park; 1 New Individual Landmark - Burnside Home
  • Programming:  4 Public Education Programs and 3 Porch Parties with over 1,000 participants!
  • Movies in the Park:  In our 8th year, we held 10 movie events with over 10,000 attending under the stars!
  • Tours:  More than 50 historic tours both on foot and by bike!  Downtown, the Waterfront, Northwest Downtown including Mirror Lake and Lang Court, Allendale,  the African American Heritage Trail.  Special collaborations with Keep St. Pete Lit, Gulfport Historical Society and Historic Kenwood Neighborhood Association. lunchtime tours and hosted many school groups. Over 1,500 people enjoyed PTB tours!
  • App:  PTB developed "Walk St. Petersburg", a free downtown audio tour available via the Florida Humanities Council's Florida Stories app.
  • Membership: We have grown to nearly 1,000 members!
  • Awards:  The 2017 Preservation Awards were held recognizing preservation success stories.
  • Hosted a Keep St. Pete Special event and Mayoral Forum highlighting preservation, historic neighborhoods, the arts, and locally-owned, independent business.
  • Grew to 12,000+ social media followers and 7,000+ E-news subscribers!
  • Continued promoting and offering to visitors (and residents) a self-guided walking tour guide. Over 15,000 copies have been distributed to date!
