Constructed in 1928 as the Martha Washington Hotel, and currently The Exchange Hotel, the current owners of the property at 234 3rd Ave N recently filed - and then withdrew - a demolition request with the City of St. Petersburg. The building is on the city’s list of eligible historic properties but is not currently protected as a local landmark.
