Restoration & Design Expo

Saturday, May 16 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

If you love St. Pete's bungalows, craftsman cottages and the stories tucked inside their walls, mark your calendar for Preserve the 'Burg’s annual Restoration & Design Expo, Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the storied St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club in St. Pete’s Historic Mirror Lake neighborhood.

The free community event celebrating National Historic Preservation Month offers homeowners, history lovers and neighborhood advocates an opportunity to connect with the people and resources keeping St. Pete's historic fabric alive.

"St. Petersburg's historic neighborhoods are invaluable, and so is the knowledge it takes to care for them," said Manny Leto, Executive Director of Preserve the 'Burg. "The Restoration & Design Expo was built to put that knowledge directly into the hands of the people who need it most: homeowners, history lovers, and the neighbors who want to make sure these places are still standing and thriving for the next generation.”

EXPLORE, CONNECT AND DISCOVER
More than two-dozen expo vendors include specialists in historic restoration, period-appropriate home décor and vintage-inspired design. Attendees can explore the architectural styles that define St. Petersburg's most beloved neighborhoods, learn about resources available to property owners and community advocates, and get face time with the tradespeople who do this work every day.

The first 25 guests will receive a signed, limited edition print by nationally recognized illustrator Alli Arnold. Other work by Arnold will be available for sale at the Expo.

Guided tours of the Historic Mirror Lake neighborhood will offer attendees an up-close look at some of the city's most distinctive and storied architecture.

Whether you're mid-restoration on a bungalow, beginning to research your home's past, hunting for vintage décor or simply proud of what makes St. Pete's neighborhoods special, the Restoration & Design Expo has something for you.

The event is presented in partnership with the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, coinciding with the Trust's Preserve Florida Conference taking place May 14-15 in St. Petersburg.
