Mayor Kriseman wants to turn over the downtown marina to a private firm for them to renovate and manage it over the next 30 years without first having a referendum. The Council of Neighborhood Associations (“CONA”) recently joined PTB contending, as the marina is publicly owned waterfront property, that the City Charter requires referendum approval. The issue is expected to go to City Council next month.
